I create interactive installations where visitors become part of the art — their bodies, gestures, and presence drive real-time generative visuals and sound. The best technology is the kind you forget is there.
My work explores the space between human presence and digital response. When you walk into one of my installations, there are no buttons, no touchscreens, no instructions. You simply move, and the space comes alive around you. Every interaction is unique. Every experience is personal.
I'm driven by the belief that technology should be invisible. Visitors shouldn't think about projectors and sensors — they should just feel the experience. This philosophy guides everything I build: from motion-captured dance performances to biosensor-driven generative environments.
I'm Wave Pongruengkiat (วีรธัช พงษ์เรืองเกียรติ), based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. My background spans nanoengineering and visual arts — a combination that lets me think at the intersection of science, technology, and art.
Over 10+ years and 60+ projects, I've developed expertise in body tracking (Kinect, MediaPipe), generative visuals (TouchDesigner, GLSL), sensor integration (Arduino, ESP32, biosensors), and projection mapping. I build reusable component libraries — not one-off installations. One toolkit powers many spaces.
I've exhibited and performed internationally, including the Asia Culture Center in Korea, ZER0NE art-tech residency (Korea), TEDx, and Chiang Mai Design Week. Currently, I'm a core team member on a Pro Helvetia-funded research project exploring technobiological futures across four countries.
Beyond my art practice, I run Centerline, a construction and renovation company in Thailand. Managing both a creative practice and a business has taught me how to deliver on budget, on time, and at scale.
