Khwan Dance is a performance created by Padung Jumpan. Khwan is the DNA of traditional belief in the animist religions of the indigenous peoples of Southeast Asia, and it sits at the centre of the way of life of an agricultural society. Padung distils the dance into four principles: focal points, focused energies that circulate, lines that turn into circles and curves, and awareness held throughout. On stage, an interactive system follows the dancers' bodies and answers with generative visuals.
